If you're interested Dave, I felt you were insulting starting from your 2nd post in the thread and continuing in many more thereafter. Sorry, but I consider being accused of abusing moderation powers (moving the thread to the Web Committee forum where it belonged) an insult. Some of your posts, including your first post, was absolutely fine and got your point across loud and clear without the ridiculous accusations/commentary.
There were at least half a dozen posts in that thread and I let them all fly. When you started it up in another thread, I had enough. Sorry if you don't see it that way.
I also didn't call you a baby. I said something to the effect of babysitting you, implying that you were acting like a child, ie, immature. I completely agree that was not a very nice thing to say and should have been moderated immediately. I'm human too and I make poor choices as well.
But to claim that my post was the first problem post is a pretty narrow view of the situation.
FWIW, not that I expect you'll care, I created a new ability to suspend posting privileges as opposed to using the 'ban' system of the site, since I think that was really the intent of the situation. I received Board approval to move you into that new category which means you should be able to log in again and view the site, just not post. In particular, I thought you may have an interest in getting and/or sending PMs...just letting you know.

its easy to figure out. come on - the more left the more liberties you want the people to enjoy with less government interjection but more government entitlements - the more right you are the more intrusive the government can be with less entitlements.
check the political threads and see where people stand and then compare them to how they monitor and exercise their opinion in the forum. It amazes me how different some are - not all. Just an observation.
ask them what they think about monitoring phone calls from the middle east and all H#ll would break out, but monitoring certain individuals on a forum is ok because they may get out of line.
guess thats why Power corrupts and some people think term limits in government is a good thing.
now all this is an exageration to make a point thats all. Dont get all weird on it.

Sorry if I don't want to spend countless hours running/building/maintaining a system -- or the $1,500 a year that comes out of my pocket to do so -- to allow people to impugn my integrity and mock me.

Disagreement with me or policy or whatever...that's fine, expected, and healthy. But do it with a little respect/courtesy. That's the least I, and the rest of the volunteer staff, deserve. And now, demand.

Look, I fully admit I called you out on one of the threads for acting like a child. Absolutely. Am I proud of that? No. Do I think you were being a bit immature? Yes. I already said all of this in a previous post in this thread -- I'm not saying, and never said, I didn't call you out on the forum.

Not taking sides, but I'm just not feeling the love on the BRS boards since this whole thing. For the most part, I stopped posting/reading in the lounge, and it seems that others, for now, have been doing the same. The lounge was the only place to talking uselessly about nothing, and, if your not in the metro Boston area, it's really the only place to get to know people.
