the new ORA Bird of Paradise Seriatopora

acrodave

REEF NERD
This is truly a stunning birds nest coral. It’s electric green with metallic purple polyps. The branches on this variety are considerably thicker than the other birds nest variants on our list.
We obtained this coral more than 6 years ago from a hobbyist in Europe and after more than a half decade of work its ready for sale!
The intensity of this coral can vary greatly from tank to tank. It seems to look the best under bulbs with a lot of blue in their spectrum. Have your customers start off pretty low in the tank and move it up until they find the right spot. That will give them an opportunity to find the best light intensity and provide a better top down viewing angle for this coral.

Honestly I see the same corals all the time as the ORA corals the only difference is they are cheeper and they don't have a name at that point.

It's called a purple polyped, green base birdsnest. I've seen the same exact coral in the 15-25 dollar section at ATL every time I go there.

Not only that but ive seen them in lfs as regular aqua cultured sps. They must really be hurting for corals since they are using the basic stuff. I just hope you folks dont pay more then $20 for a frag of this.

that is true but in this case its something that has been around for a long time. I've seen people giving them away at frags swap, but to each his own.
