The next mod for you junkies out there

i saw that, i dont see how a modded mj can be turned off/on that much realiably.....

I can't figure out how it works, but I love the way the corals flow with it. Any chance this could be done external?

A water tight box with the inlet drilled thru the tank wall in could be setup external. I've seen custom high end stuff with Tunze wave boxes set up that way.

I love the movement too.

I'm just wondering if you couldn't use a regular maxi-jet, in a smaller tank as long as it was pushing a good amount of water I don't see why it would make much of a difference. I have some scrap acrylic laying around maybe I'll make one to see how it works, finding a good timer that works, thats the hard part.

These look like they would be perfect.... 0-210 second intervals.

since you can tweak off an on time, that is nice.... you can have slightly longer on than off, to make up for the "start up"

i wonder how hard it is to tweak that in tenths of seconds.... one second resolution is not enough for this use..

covey, where did you see the external boxes?

I think it was Aquariums Obessed and now that I tink of it it was a normal tank with the overflow, wavebox, and various powercords hidden behind a false black glass wall. Really slick.
