I stopped in there today. Talk to the guys for a little while. They seem nice there still getting things together but there prices are good. Nice to see a LFS in Greece. There off of stone in between dewey and Lake I would suggest we stop by and welcome them to the community.

Maybe I am spoiled by the other 3 in the area, but when my wife and I stopped by Sunday, we were meet by a young gentleman that did not seem so knowledgible. I know the shop is new, but I kinda expected a bit more. Most of what we looked at he informed us was out of his own aquarium at home. Even his appearance seemed more like one hanging out on the corner and not someone dress "normally" to be working a store. He seemed to be more at home at a "headshop".

I will probably not go back until it is more established.

Tisk...Tisk...Tisk Judgements made upon someones age and apperance are not the actions of civilized people. I admit I was amazed at his somewhat unorthadox appearance and I didn't find him to be as knowledgable as some of the other LFSs but please don't make assumptions based on age and appearance. I find that age and wisdom do not always go hand and hand. I was just mearly pointing out that everyone should stop by in the area and welcome a new LFS. Starting a buisness is not an easy thing. Sometime some useful critycs and some ecorragement are the things that are needed most when the fear of being self sufficent sets in. Remeber if he does make it he will need to get frags and corals from somewhere. This helps out club members who propagate.

Like I stated JMO .

He did have some nice items and yes it is hard when starting out especially if not fully backed with lots of $$$$$$$. I also did buy a few items from him at good prices.

I think everyone is entitled to an opinion. Maybe because I have so many. Just curious, whats a "headshop"?

Maybe he sells both kinds of reefing supplies. Now I want to go check it out! LOL!

Just kidding! :fun4: I am all for new stores. I will have to go check it out next time I am up that way!

I go to all the stores in Rochester and the surrounding area regardless of the little things I might not like about how they look, act, or handle things. The fact we can shop around is nothing to complain about and one should try to only see the good before complaining. I deff dont agree with petco's fish department on pretty much everthing but I have found great prices and sucess rate just as good as the premium shops in rochester. Lots of the "other" stores get looked over and at times have really nice stuff for great prices. If you've done your homework on what you are buying before you walk in then you shouldnt have to ask to many questions.

 this thread is hilarious!!i also visited the store.after shopping the other 3 stores for the last few years you cant help but walk in with certain expectations.i bought a couple things and didnt like the fact that he didnt double bag the coral or use rubberbands.he just tied the bag in a knot-i know these are pety complaints.i will visit the store again tho.as far as the appearence issue -coming from someone who has always had long hair tattoos and piercings you will be judged by appearence by some.

Coming from a girl that has had pink/purple tipped hair off and on for a few years... even recently:
Ofcourse your appearance will have an impression on people... but what matters the most, is the way you act towards them. :)
I will definitely check the store out for myself though.

Come to think of it, the pink & purple matched the colors of Greguire's sweet blasto. :P

I've met Stephany both with pink hair and "normal" hair. Same person, either way. :) The pink hair didn't prevent me from getting to know her and the "normal" hair didn't make me want to meet her more.

Speaking of how people dress, bow tie people really creep me out (except with tuxes). Not sure what it is about them (maybe they're the actual sign of the devil :p), but I don't trust people that wear them. I would take my business elsewhere if the owner had one. Guess I'm sort of superficial in that way.

Tucker Carlson wears a bow tie and how could anyone worry about him? He's only one step away from moving to Idaho and stockpiling food and weapons.

"I love that guy in a non-f*g*tt way!" btls

This is probably just a rant that not one person will understand unless you have Sirius sat. radio and listen to Bubba the Love Sponge (btls).

I vote is for the pink hair also... Tell me she is not afraid of being different and herself, and doesn't care of what others think about it.
