Bumping an old thread. Is there any other way to hook this to a profilux without an EVG card?

Dora anybody runs the wp40 on old Aquasurf?
I know this is a very old thread, but I'm trying to control a Jebao DCP-2500 with an Apex - I have a Reef Angel cable, but the DCP-2500 won't turn at all. It does get hot, but doesn't turn... Anyone know if it is possible to control the new Sine Wave pumps? I'd also like to control my ReefBreeders Coral Box QP-16 Plus, but I can't get it to turn either.....
ReefBreeders shows a different Apex-to-pump controller for the new pumps compared to the older Jebao. (New controller is $65 compared to $40 for the older one)

If you connect any of the jebao sine wave pumps or powerheads to an older Jebao controller or the apex to Jebao adaptor and power it on they will fry instantly. Doesn't hurt the pump though. Ask me how I know
