the reuse of a waterchange

was thinking of setting up my 125 again as a fowlr.can i use the water from the reef tank to do water changes on the fowlr tank.or is this a bad practice?

good idea IMO.

Reef aquarium water can be much better for a FO or FOWLR as long as there are no pathogens present.

I did it with my new 65g set up. It is up and running well, all are happy! Cycling was very quick.

Between syphoning the detritus, cleaning my open cell sponges, and anything I else I do during a wc I always get a good bucket of crud and can't reuse my water even if I happen to draw off more water than I made up. If yours is good enough to reuse why waste it?

I use it for my clownfish tanks.
