The Secret to shrooms?

Trying to make this guy happy. I think he is some sort of mushroom leather. He just doesn't seem to be thriving. Tank is sal. 1.027, alk 7.8, ca 410, mg 1350, nitrates about 15ish. Currently mid tank lighting wise. Do these guys prefer more light? Should I try spot feeding? So many leather species its had to get the tight info. Any advice appreciated.

Looks like a hairy/fuzzy mushroom which lost most of its color. Where did you get it?

I've had the green varieties, and they are someone of a pain as they will suffocate and sting some stony corals and divide fast.

Thanks. Yup that does look like it. Doesn't like my tank though medium flow and light requirements should be met. I will try another spot to see if it likes it.

those usually thrive or die or just do BLAHHH BLAHH.. i Have a rock covered with them. ONE Week they are big and fluffy next week they are dwindling with no apparent reason.. Kinda like a Kenya Coral or Xenia..
