The spikefin goby - commonly "flaming prawn"

If your talking about Discordipinna griessingeri, with the amazing yellow and orange colored fins, its a VERY hard fish to keep. They require feedings from 3-7 times daily and at that must be fed VERY tiny food...... Thats IF you can get them to eat frozen, try, artemia, pods, rotifers. They also are easily eaten if there is any CUC in the tank, hermits, even snails. Very pretty fish but IMO just one that should be left to the ocean. I would also suggest a seahorse like habitat, low flow, good sand bed, and no other fish. I would say a nano would be great for them but honestly I dont think it would have a good enough food supply. Good luck.

Yea I love marine center. Did you see that purple fish hey had, was it a leaf fish? Was $1,200.00? INSANE, but the fish was amazing.

This fish is absolutely fabulous. My only issue is that the common aquariumist do not have the copasity to take care of these guys. they eat live food. tring to ween them to froozen is hell. I have concidered getting one but the care for this fish is alot of work. beautiful fish.

We had one for about 6 months now and they are MICRO tiny! He has his very own 3 gallon nano with nothing in it besides some zoos, a featherduster and some snails.

They are scared easily and hide very well and you will probably never see him if he is in a tank with other fish. Even though ours is in his own tank, we only see him maybe once every month.

Feeding is difficult b/c they are so small. The only thing ours will even touch is reef stew, which we get weekly.

Here's a picture just for reference ... and one of the few times he's actually been out and about.

Very cool-looking fish. Pets Inc. had two of them on Saturday when we stopped by. If my nano were up and running (hey Jeremy, when are you free?? :D) I would have bought one.
