Someone will say " they are so difficult, it's better to leave it in a wild", others will " they are so easy to hold", more or less they are right.
The most beautifully starfish Blue Linkia .....
This is the story about mine linkia leavigata.
I just started with a hobby and I never imagine that I will have so many good and bad moments.
I have setup a tank in December and after few months I have added Linkia to my sytem, because I thought that it is easy to handle and it is so nice and adorable to watch. But, than I have read and read , more and more and I have figured that many people had a problem with this kind of starfish.I was very upset and i can't let her to die because of my fault , because i was not informed what i am buying and what i am doing. I didn't have a well established sytem , even worse it was completely new system 400 litres with 20 kg of live rock. I was in shock after reading many failures and still after 9 months I can't beleive that she is alive. Every day and night mine Linkia was always in surface with few tentacles out of the water, i was so confused and worried for her, because I knew that she is hungry or she is just a searching for something. I didn't adapt her with drip acclimatization, i have many times take her with my hand, move her from one place to another, play with her...
After some time I have found a Mr. Sch. Claude from Fauna Marin company and he has helped me a lot about my problem with blue starfish. I got products Ultra Bio and Ultra bak as well Ultramin S and start to dosing it. After that mine linkia never goes up on the surface and I was very happy for her.
Meanwhile, I have noticed that mine starfish is going to falling apart, tissue is going off and you can clearly see a some kind of white cells under her blue skin or what ever it is. Everyone tought that she will die soon and I beleive it too. But, after some time starfish refresh her tissue and close wholes in the body which was a big supprise to me. Today she is still alive and I like her a lot, she is my favorite one.
At this picture you can see a wholes in body ( before this picture they were much bigger ):

Let's say hello to her:

I am sorry for not a good qualitty of pictures, and I would like to use this opportunity to say big THANKS for Claude and his efforts to help me in my success story.
Best regards,
