Hey Grim and everyone -

I purchased the Miro4 LET retrofit from Reefgeek and the bulbs as suggested above. The question I have is ballast wiring. Are there any bulbs that I should be running on the same ballast?

I will open with the RB LED's ramping up - then power up the t5's - then ramp down the RB LED's until lights out.

I hadn't planned on turning all t5's on at once, so I am looking for suggestions on pairing bulbs noting the placement above and timing.

Or do I just wire this up 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8?

Pair up the purple plus with a blue plus for the first step past the LEDs. Other than that just have the GE come on in the last set to come on for daylights.

Currently I have a 2t5's , 1being blue and the other white on a 16 nuvo w a blue ecoxotic led velcroed underneath giving me this look.

I have a ATI PM 4x24 going over a 30x14x16 starphire AIO


If at possible what bulb combo would I need to get that same look or is not achievable without LEDs on a 4 bulb fixture?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have been having this same issue with the Aquatic life 6 bulb. I had a UVL Super Actinic in the place of the purple plus and just switched back to the Purple Plus. I do like the dark blue but I am hoping for better growth now.

Light are on 2 seperate timers using slots 1,3,5,6 and 2,4
Night time now is Blue + and Ati actinic. I switched to this cause the blue plus and coral plus alone looked like crap. Night mode is the 1,3,5,6 right now.
I am worried I am not getting the potential growth I could be, but I still want the "blue" night look before the LEDs/moon lights come on. I so have a purple plus here.
Any suggestions

I have a hard time keeping my greens in certain corals(birdsnest & caps). ballasts are Coralvue(x3) & use LET reflectors-bulbs are 5" off water. Tried a 6500k & AB special but it was too white. Any suggestions?

I plan on hanging it above the aquarium and having clams and some sps corals. Do you think this fixture would be good for my aquarium? If not, which fixture would you recommend?

I'm running 4 AI sol blues over my 250 gallon deep dimension tank. I am going to add 4x60" T5's and was wondering what everyone thought about bulb choices. My fixture arrangement will be

I was thinking something for actinic range 420nm and something that would have some red and warmer colors. Figi purple? What bulbs do you think would work best?

I'd try Blue Plus front and rear with a couple of coral plus in the middle.

Hey Grim,
About to replace the stock lamps on my 48" 6 Bulb Aquatic Life fixture that sits on a 75 Gallon and had some questions.

I have sifting through the pages here and see that the typical recommendation for my setup is
Front
ATI Blue plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Purple plus
GE 6500K or Coral Plus?
ATI Blue plus
ATI Blue plus
Am on the right path with the set up that’s listed above?

If my understanding is correct I can substitute the GE 6500K for a Coral Plus for a bluer look?

Last question is what would be the lamp placement for the above setup?

To run my Blues (Dust/Dawn) the built in timer will control slots 2 & 4

To run my Whites (Mid-day) the timer will control slots 1, 3, 5 & 6

Does anyone using a four bulb T5 fixture have any picture of the following combinations?

1) 2 ati blue+, 1 ati purple+, 1 kz new generation

2) 2 ati blue+, 1 ati purple+, 1 ati coral+

3) 3 ati blue+, 1uv super actinic

4) 3 ati blue+, 1 ati purple+
