What would be the differences between UVL Aquasun vs Aquablue in this configuration in a 48" Tek 8 bulb fixture over an Oceanic 120G? Thanks for any inputs!

Do you have any reflectors on your bulbs? I mean 12 bulbs over a 120 is a lot of unnecessary bulbs. Not to mention the unnecessary costs of bulb replacement and electricity.

You could get away with 8 bulbs with good reflectors. A reflector cost the same as a new bulb anyway.

I have the 72" Aqualight Pro Retro in my 135 (canopy). I use the 96w true actinic 03 blue fluorescent 420nm square pin base bulbs by Coralife.

I'm trying to decide whether to use ATI Aquablue 12000K or UVL Aquasun 10000k in this 8 bulb configuration. Based on Grim's past recommendations I've used the Aqusun and have been happy with the look but want to make sure I have a complete spectrum. Would the ATI Aquablue make it a lot more blue or just a little and which would give a better overall spectrum in this combination? What about the UVL 12000k Actinic White, any better or worse as far as spectrum or blue look? Thanks!

Aquasun is a pink lamp so you wouldn't want to use it with fiji purples unless you want a very purple look to your tank.

Hey guys, I can't decide whether to get the ati 6b powermodule or the ati 6b sunpower. There's a huge price difference between them (almost the double)
Is there any difference between them besides the fans and looks?
Is there any performance difference between them?

No, I don't want purple look, thanks. I may just flip a coin on Actinic White or ATI Aquablue since they are both 12000K.

Aquasun is a pink lamp so you wouldn't want to use it with fiji purples unless you want a very purple look to your tank.

The Powermodule puts out about 10% more PAR. That is the only difference has far as performance. The reflectors and ballasts are the exact same.

Get the Sunpower and save the money for some sweet corals!:dance:

They may both say 12000K but they look nothing alike. The Actinic White has a pink hue to it where the Aquablue is white with a hint of blue in it.

Looks good! I would move the one Fiji Purple more towards the back. Maybe one slot back to where the Aquablue is.

Play with it though because every one is different.
