I am getting that exact setup and hope it turns out ok. I almost went for the ATI Purple Plus but decided to get the KZ Fiji purple. I hear the Fiji Purple has been around longer and has always been the standard but now that ATI has a similar one out people are choosing the ATI. Except for me cause I'm cheap.

The ATI is cheaper then the KZ, thats why people are using the ATI over the KZ.
 
I have a 4 lamp fixture and need to replace the bulbs. I want max growth but like the bluish look under actinic. What bulbs and in what order would be best? 55g reef.
 
Grim I saw this on your home page would these exact bulbs work? Or would you go with another choice. Thanx Donk

What's the difference between the blue+ and purple+ and what effect does it have on the tank/corals? I looked at the spectral charts and the purple+ seems to have a tad bit more light in the red/yellow spectrum.

Also, how do you feel about the ATI procolor as a random bulb to try the color. Reefgeek has them for $10. Is this bulb good for anything? What colors does it enhance? Debating on getting it for a backup or to play with. Cant find much info on it..cheap though...

You answered your own question, purple plus add mostly red. Pro Color is OK, more red, no actinic and low PAR. Not a bad lamp just not as good.

If you are cheap why did you spend more on the KZ. Sylvania makes both lamps, you REALLY think there is a difference?

I'm headed for Vegas in the morning assuming I don't have to rent a dog sled to get over the Rockies, be back in a week. Lets just hope I can still afford to pay my internet bill.
 
Can someone save me a lot of reading by telling me what I need to buy and where I can buy it? I got a 72"x30"x30" tank that I got MHs on but I need some blue actinics for supplement. Not really sure the best route to go in terms of what I need and where to get it.

I notice Lowes had some kind of T5 pendants, bulbs, and some ballasts etc, can I use these? Any info would be great, I am sure this has been answered in this thread plenty of times so PMs are cool.

You can use any pendants you want. You'll just need to buy the right lamps which you wont find at lowes.

Reefgeek sells 60" retrofits that would work. Otherwise the 36" pendants would work, just need 2 per row. I would do 3 Rows of ATI Blue Plus and 1 of ATI Purple Plus. Reefgeek is a good place to buy the lamps.

I am planning to set up a 300g sps dominant tank 96Lx30Wx24T. Which combination of ATI powermodules would you recommend is best for the setup, 2x48” with 10 bulbs, 2x36” with 10 bulbs or maybe 8 bulbs unit will work too? TIA.

Im replacing my 30" long fixture with a 36" ..I dont like that the bulbs are on 24" on a 30" fixture....

My question is, should i go with a 6 or 4 bulb NEP? (and what combo) Im worried the 6 bulb will burn everything. I mostly have SPS

2 - 8x48" Powermodules or even the new Sunpowers when they come out.

Why don't you like the 24" bulbs?

I have a 24" fixture over my 36" tank and have liked it.

Anyways you only need 4 bulbs over a 29g.
