Oh hell yeah, you could probably go 10" or more and be fine.

Ive been running Grims bulb combinations for the past few years in my Nova Pro and love it. Its time to order again and Ive seen you replaced the Actinic White bulb for the Fiji or the Purple Plus so im gonna try the Purple plus. My question is about the GE bulb. I was planning on ordering from bulk reef supply since I need to restock alot of goods and they dont carry the GE 6500k. I was going to order the Giesemann Midday in its place since it was listed on your site but they will not have them in anytime soon. Would the UVL Aquasun be a good replacement? Like I said I REALLY like way its looked for the past few years and would like it to stay about the same (look/PAR). What do you think? Should I just split orders and stay with reef geek and forgo the free shipping by combining orders?

So I'm guessing CoralVue isn't getting the GR endorsement?
If I go with 4 new lamps...what 4 do you recommend? It came with wavepoint bulbs...which I thought had a good rep.
If I go quality...what should it be? What lamps?
Thanks for taking the time.
I'm fairly new to the hobby and am about to switch from a 2 bulb to a 4 bulb fixture and need some advice.
Currently running a Current 2x24" fixture. Just replaced 6 mo old ATI Blue+ and Aquablue Special bulbs with Giesemann Powerchrome Aquablue+ and Actinic+ bulbs.
The used fixture I'm picking up is a Aquaticlife 4x24" fixture. All I know is that the ballasts were just replaced and it comes with 4 ATI bulbs with about 4 mos of use.
What is the ideal bulb combo on the Aquaticlife fixture over a 30 gallon Finnex AIO and which of my current bulbs should I start out with? I'd like to use some of my current bulbs and eventually switch over to the optimal combo.
Should I have any initial concerns switching from 2 to 4 bulbs?

Anybody know what sort of Par the giesseman aquapink puts out?Is it on Par(no pun intended)with the fiji purple and what is Par of the ATI purple plus like.
I have a 60x36x24 aquarium with 10 bulb ATI Powermodule. Spa and clams. Was considering this all ATI bulb combination:

thanks for the response... one more question, is there a different bulb suggestion for the GE6500k as BRS doesnt carry that one (as far as i can tell) and i need to order several other things from them.
Getting a 4-bulb tek soon, and would like to be as close as possible to a phoenix 14k. What bulb combo would you recommend?
2 ATI BLue Plus, 1 Purple Plus or Fiji Purple and a KZ New Generation for 4 lamps. I'd run a regular dusk dawn cycle and start out with 4 hours of daylights and slowly increase it to allow the corals to acclimate.
I'd use an Aquablue instead of the Aquasun.
Thanks Grim...any particular placement? most of my sps is high and toward the back.
Thanks rtparty and grim, I decided just to split the order so I could get the GE6500k. Does any have any pics of the aquablue in action? How close is it in look and par to the GE.
