Thank you Grim, Nova is one I was looking at!
Hey Grim, I'm thinking about ordering the 6 bulb 48" TEK from coralreefecosystems. They offer the following bulb selections:
Midday 6500K
Aqua Blue + 11K
Actinic + Blue
Pure Actinic
What combination would you recommend for the best mix of growth/color?
I am looking to add one T5 bulb to the front of my tank/canopy. I want to angle that bulb towards my reef and I also plan on using it as my dusk/dawn feature to turn on before and after my 2x 250 watt radiums. My question is, which T5 bulb would give me the best combo of color and growth? I am looking for a T5 bulb that would be similar to a 20k halide like the Radium. I am thinking about going with this setup, unless somebody can recommend something better: http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5...T5_High-Output_Retrofit_Kit_w!_Bulb_by_IceCap
Thank you.
Get that with an ATI Blue Plus lamp.
Does anyone know of a quality 36'' light fixture besides the ATI PM? It needs to be 8-12 bulbs....
So I'm going to be getting a 40 breeder soon and thinking about making the switch to T5s. I was wondering if I need to go with a 6 or 8 bulb ATI fixture? It will be almost totally an SPS tank with an Ultra Crocea I have in my current tank which will be placed on the SandBed. Thanks for the help!
6 lamp ATI fixture will do fine, either of them.
Dang, I think I found them and they are more than the ATI!
What about the Tek 6 bulb fixture? It seems to have good reviews and cost is MUCH less... Thanks
Ok, so is that the only downside to the tek fixture? Also, there is the sunpower and the power module fixture with the P.M. being the higher end. Is the sunpower much better than the Tek because it's only about $100 more so if it would suit me better, I would go that route...
Get that with an ATI Blue Plus lamp.
Is this IceCap here http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5...T5_High-Output_Retrofit_Kit_w!_Bulb_by_IceCap worth the extra $30 compared to this Tek here http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5...tput_Retrofit_Kit_w!_Bulbs_by_Sunlight_Supply ???
If you are just using it as a supplemental lamp and have room for the wider reflectors, about 3 1/4", go with the Tek.
