Hey Grim quick question, I'm plan on buying a ATI Sunpower 6x54w for my 90g 48x18x24 I have a mixed reef and want a clam soon. Do u think the light is sufficient enough to handle my tank and if so what's a good bulb combo for a 14k look? Thanks

What would be the best order for these front to back?

I have a 20g 24x16x12 with aquatinics tx5 24" 5x24W with 2 cords. One for the 2&4, the other one for 1,3,5.

I want to replace the lamps. Could you give me your suggestions for the bulb configurations. I would like to put a clam in there too.

My current fixture comes with standard bulbs and the colors are awful.

Grim thank you for your previous suggestion. However after reading through more of this forum and taking some suggestions from others I have decided to get my new light system from Reefgeeks here 4x54W . I found a couple of 4 bulb configs through out the thread but before I purchased I wanted to get one final check on my bulb selection. What do you think about this set up for softies, lps, and maybe a BTA.

grim, just purchased a Tek 8x54 fixture. plan to upgrading the stock bulbs to giesemann(sp?) bulbs. what bulbs would you suggest and what order? I will have two clams in the sand and mainly sps. thank you.

My Lumenmax Elites take up a lot of room and I might run to some space issues in the front of my tank and might have to go with just one bulb in the front and one in the back...so if I had to settle for only adding two bulbs, which would you delete from the combo above???

Just curious, is the new Sunlight Supply Tek 2 reflector intentionally not on your list of reflectors or have you just not tested it yet?

Looking for your thoughts on this bulb combination I have chosen to go over a 150G Reef Tank that is 60" Long X 24" Deep X 24" Tall. Don't have access to a PAR Meter at this time but have seen some of your PAR ratings on a couple of these bulbs. Fixture is a 60" ATI Powermodule 8X80.

The bulbs will be:
2ea KZ Fiji Purple
2ea KZ SuperBlue
1ea KZ New Generation 14K
2ea ATI BluePlus
1ea ATI Aquablue Special 12K

Also, how would you recommend laying these out from Front to Back?

Fiji Purple and the rear Blue Plus would be good D D pair. 10 to 12 hours for them. 8 to 10 for the rest

They are so wide it's hard to fit them in and they don't perform as well as the others.

If only 2 lamps with the halides I'd probably drop the fiji purple.

First of all I would probably use ATI Blue Plus instead of the super blues, both lamps are made by sylvania so I doubt there is much difference other than price.

Grim I just read the thread in the IC vendors forum about the IceCap 430 ballast running T-5 bulbs and came away with some questions:

I want to run 60" T-5s on 430 (or 660 ballasts) over a standard 180 gal, primarily LPS. What issues, positive and negative do you think I'm going to encounter?

Are the issues going to be the same for the 430 and 660's?

It is supposed to be the Blue Plus with red spectrum added.

Haven't seen anything on when it will be in the States yet.
