Anybody?

Hi Guys,

I upgraded my tank 3 months ago to a AG 75g which is 48x18x24 with a 4" deep sand bed. I also upgraded my lights to 4-54w T-5's with IC reflectors. The lamps are ATI sunpro, ATI aqua blue, ATI blue + and UVL Super Actinic. I just ordered my first 3 1/2" Crocea Clam so I'm planning to add another two T-5's. My question is which lamps should I buy? I actually had it planned out but I lost my notes. Please help.

Grim,
I recently upgraded my 2 generic Grandlite 10k 150w de metal halide bulbs to Ushio 10k bulbs over my 75g. The grandlites were very yellow and the ushios are more of a white color. Now what should i replace my 2 t5 ho actinics with? Right now their just Jalli Actinics that came w/ the fixture. The jali actinics have a very light blue to them. If lookin for more color out the tank, what would you suggest?

Thanks Grim.
I've read on the Clam Forum that the perfect light for clams is 10K. I'm starting to think I might not have enough white light. The aqua blue is a combo of white and blue, but the blue + is mostly blue. Do you think it would be better to swap the aqua blue with maybe a UVL aqua sun 10K? I am happy with the lighting now, but I want to provide as much optimal lighting as possible for the clam. I do value your opinion.

I would do 1 ATI Blue Plus and 1 UVL Super Actinic. Should give you a nice bluish tint and pop the colors.

You could add a Aquasun and Blue Plus and not change the overall look much. If you have any pink or purpl critters in your tank it will bring those color out a little better maybe.

Grimm,

Did you post the par results for different bulbs? I need to know if I should get the geisemann's again or go with something else that has more par. I have a tek 6x54 fixture. Thanks!!

I have the following bulbs that I am going to install from front to back:
Pure Actinic
ATI Blue Plus
Midday
Aquablue
Midday
ATI Blue Plus

Which 3 should I run together on same ballast for dusk/dawn?

Hahn, Grim
Checked out the Maristar 48" MH/T5 combo. Nice but $$.
If I want to do some Acro, clams, zoos would I need a pricey fixture like the one above or is the Solar Flare 8 lamp T5 fixture okay.
ps I'm not a do it yourselfer so retros are out.
Thank you for your help.

The Solar Flare would be the way to go.
