I purchased the 4 lamp Centium ballast from Advance. Suppose to be better than Universal's triad and has Intelivolt. The Centium has a grey lead wire that you have to connect in order to run all four lights at the same time. Advance told me you can put an inline electronic timer on that grey lead. Can anyone tell me if this is such a timer at this website

If not, does anyone have any idea on how else to put this feature of the Centium ballast which would allow different bulb start times to work?

Grim,
What do you think of this for a 156 gal. (60x24x25)
Icecap Retro from ReefGeek
(9) 60" 80 watt T5's
(3) IceCap 660 electronic ballasts
I could have three different lighting stages.
Would you recommend this and which bulbs would you choose.
Thanks for you reply

Well, take solace, it's not made in Venezuela!

How long do a set of t5 bulbs last? Since recently after 6-7 months all the bulbs in my Aquactinics 5-bulb fixture seemed to burn out over that last month or so. I originally used all Aquaz T5 bulbs. The photoperiod was 10 hours a day. Now I am running this bulb config:
Front
ATI Blue Special
UVL Pure Actinic
GE 6500K
ATI Blue+
UVL Aqua Sun
Back
Will I expect the same results with this config, or do I need to buy new bulbs every 6-8 months? Thanks for any info...
