Is this a good combo for SPS? I love the color but want to make sure my Corals are getting enough light.

I'm just guesing on specific lamp placement. Youy want a Actinic and Blue Pluses for a dusk/dawn set so if you have to tweak the positions a little to get there thats fine.

Can i keep SPS under this light too?

They are the same bulb. He just didn't want to type ati again..

Hello grim,
My tank 60X24X24 is this compo give good growth and color, I got mix reefs lps and sps some clames,I will go with 60" ice cap retro one 430s drive 2 bulds and one 660s do other 4 with tek 2 refletors.is that enought lights?

Going with a 4 bulb VHO with SLR reflectors on my 55g that is 24" tall. What color combo should I go with? Will I be able to keep anything under those lights anywhere in the tank?

Take out one pro color and add an Aquasun, take out an actinic and add a Blue Plus. I am assuming the Giesemann actinics are the pure actinic and not the actinic plus?

Anyway if they are the AP's then just add an Aquasun. Your corals will thank you

Sure assuming your tank isn't 30" tall and your running a crap fixture.

If the tank isn't over 20" tall even a nova would support SPS on the rocks.

Mix is good but you will have to run 3 lamps on each 660. They can't run 4 of the 60" T5's,

Might want to be carefull about lower light critters like shrooms and such but SPS will be happy

My tank is about 19" from the sandbed to the light fixture which is 7 normally driven lamps. I use a pro color, actinic, 75/25 and 4 blue pluses. The pro Color has about the same output as an actinic PAR wise, 75 25 is about hald way between an actinic and Blue Plus. I aint exactly running a power packed output mix and they are 48" lamps over a 60" tank. I have a bulb tip anemone which hung out in the front courner of the tank on the sand as far away from the light as it could get until Saturday night. It decided to move to the shell of a big turbo snail which proceeded to take it to the back glass of the tank. The anemone got off there and boogied down behind the rocks so it in't directly under the light.

I think a LTA and clams will be fine under an overdriven setup Just make sure you place them so they are under the lamps and not out in front of them
