Does it matter which bulb I keep at 54watts? And If the fans or cooling is an issue I have 2 4" IC fans, I can either replace the ones in the Tx5 or I could add them in the hood.

Do 3 lamps on the 660. 430 can only run 2 T5 lamps so you could do 1 on that instead. I wouldn't overdrive all the lamps, not sure the cooling could handle it.

Hello i just picked up a tek-t 6 bulb fixture for my frag tank (36 x 18 x 12 Tall) What do you think would be the best 6 bulb combo in this fixture for growth?

2 ATI Blue Plus or Giesemann Actinic Plus is what I would use.

i am using one blue plus and one actinic

You could mount a fan externally blowing in the opposite side of the stock exhaust fan. Overdrive the higher output lamps that aren't blue.

All Blue Pluses if you want. I would probably mix in a GE 6500K and a UVL Actinic white.

WHatever you like really. I'd swap the sctinic for a UVL 75/25 because pink and purple colors will look better.

sorry it is one blue plus and one aqua blue special with the 2x reeflux 12k DE bulb , what do u think ?

Stuff a Blue Plus between the GE and UVL lamps but yes, that would be good.

If your pink and purple colors show up nice try a actinic with the blue plus.

Do you think the ATI powermodular would be to much light for a 36 x 18 x 24 Tall, and what would be better the 6 or 8 bulb fixtur if i can use it.

Grim - Trying to get into planning stages of a 300g about a year from now.

Any recommendations on setup for a 72x40x24 or so 300g? I'd like to go all T5 if I can.

On my current 72" 125g, I'm running 8x36", and I think I could use some more..

Thoughts on a 300g setup? Can I make it happen with all T5?

Hey Peeps. Thinking of making the jump to T5's.
I have a 24l x 24w x 16h mixed reef with SPS up top.

ATI Sun Power 6x24w fits my current budget.

What bulb combo would you recommend? I like the color of 14-20k M/H bulbs.

i'm lookin for a 15k bulb 54 watt t5 wasn't sure what difference between these two bulbs would be.

the first one does not have an internal reflector, the second does.
use the internal reflector if you do not have SLR's.

the 75.25 is a great bulb, has a pink hue and will bring out some reds in your tank. a great combo personally is 3x blue +, 1x 75.25

As a standalone bulb, I would not pick these. These bulbs are accent bulbs.

.......WITH ALL THE BULB CHOICES, ITS HARD TO EVER BE SATISFIED!!!!!!!!

I took a picture of my tank with the ATI 6 lamp Sunpower!!!! This is as close to the real thing, only the tank is brighter as I had to tone it down in order to try and render the actual color of the tank!

Bulbs are as follows...front to back...ATI Blue Plus, UVL 75/25,ATI Blue Plus, Geisemann Pure Actinic, ATI AquaBlue Spezial, ATI Blue Plus.

I think it looks much like my old Radium 20k setup......

Grim... I need your advice. I've been anguishing over what to do about lighting since I setup my tank almost 18mos ago. I've been running a 4 x 65w PC fixture that I had from an old FW system (with SW bulbs of course). It's a 90gal bowfront that's about 24" to the sandbed. What I'm planning to do is put a 4 x 54 fixture (probably a PowerModule but possibly a Fauna Marin Ultra Solaris if the price is really good) at the back of the tank and a 2 x 36" IceCap retro in the front. How would you recommend I lamp this? The tank is LPS, zoas and palys now but I plan on it being a mixed reef. The front of the bow is tricky? And should I use an IC ballast on the 2 x 36"?
