awe sweetness, didnt know u just ordered glass. what was the advantage of that if it had to be shipped. or are u just showing off the mad skillzs?? haha

Pedro--When you have the glass just shipped, it is FAR less expensive then if you have them build it. You can save about 1/2 to 2/3rds the cost if you build it yourself. Plus the other advantage is you control the quality.

dude stop buying your squares from harbor freight.....that one isn't even close!!!

Hahaha. Only you would know that Justin! To tell you the truth i have not even used them on the build. I have been using the cornering clamps which have been working out quite well and they are from lowes! lol

Justin, you are one hilarious white boy!!! I thought those "squares" looked kinda funny when I saw them in person. Leave it to Harbor Freight to ship in "squares" from Russia/China. Steff, spend the extra $1-2 to get real squares at Lowes or HD.

i have a set of 4 of corning clamps my MIL was going to sell in a garage sell... best thing ever if you want something to be square

Just to let you guys know the cornering squares are not from harbor freight. It has actually been awhile since i have been there. lol But a million zip ties or a pallet of electrical tape of a buck is hard to beat. :)

Justin i might be interested in your squares. Your orange didgs is starting to color up just a little bit. :)

Here are the tanks side by side as you can see mine is just a hair taller since all the sides are sitting on the bottom piece oppose to glass cages where they are connect on the side.

I contact Glass Cages since they did not send me the bottom Euro Brace!!! It will probably be safe enough to use it as is but not going to risk it. I hope they ship out the glass soon because glass companies here want an arm and leg for glass and look shocked when you ask about 3/8 or 1/2 inch glass. lol

You are excited!! Great job Steffen! give us more detail on stand, overflow, etc.

Jay

Thank you Jay! Well my plan is to have it center in the room and use the Aquactinic's Constellation fixture for it. The overflow and return will be drilled in the middle so it will have a 360 view all the way around it. The stand will be a simple skeleton with 1in Styrofoam underneath it. I will probably be using the 75 gallon refuge with the octopus extreme. I might rework the refuge to accept as much rock as i can put down there. I am also thinking MP40 and RK elite as well.

There is also be a strict protocol on what goes into the frag tank as well. Everything will be dipped and Quarantine with the exception of ORA. :) The tank will consist of SPS, LPS, and Zoa. I will probably build a separate system for Nems and Leathers on down the road.

If you have anymore question please post them up. I will probably be posting about the mistakes that i made or stuff i would have done a little different. Thanks
