The TBS

Well I reworked the rock and removed some of the culerpa. Things are looking much better so I took some pictures :)

Full tank shot - Aquascaping is very hard with these rocks and a 55. I need a bigger tank I think :)

Flame scallop after he swam all over the tank then wedged himself between the false wall and some rock.

Some cool clam. I am going to move him later to a spot facing forward lol.

Some of the hard corals. These I think are bleaching a bit on top. I have heard that is common with them.

This is another type of hard coral. Longer polyps. Very cool.

Sponge. need to figure out how to mount them.

The giant ball sponge.

two gorgonians. Need to get a better place for them.

Condy Anemone. IN the back right is a purple whip gorgonian. Also a few hard corals on the flat rock.

Over all I really like the rock. Tons of different critters all around. I just need to lick the hair algae problem and I will be good to go.

Looks good, how much do you think will make it?

Dennis.....I don't remember the reef looking like that when I went snorkeling. I saw a lot more hard corals, few sponges, and a ton of fish.

I hope most of it makes it. I am doubtful about the clam thing and the scallop. I do dose pytho but I am not sure I could dose enough for them. I may have to look into spot feeding them. The gorgonians and the finger sponges are giving me the most worry. Mainly on placement and getting them to stay put. I mounted out the gorgonians on some rock so I can move them around but I am concerned there is too much flow for them. The finger sponges are not mounted to anything. Not sure how to mount them.

Now Jeff you stick your head under water for 2 hours and you think your an expert. :D

Nope, you mean reef natural? or underwater natural?

I've never looked around outside of a reef, but I'd put a bet down that it does look something like that.

I like that look. I hope everything lives that way.

Here is some shots of the tank. It is almost 4 months I guess. I picked up two Scissortail Dartfish yesterday but my camera batteries died so no pics of them. So far I have lost: the purple whip gorgonia to bad placement options and just plain tissue loss. The other 2 are doing fine. I lost the clam to a flat worm, and I know I have another flat worm in there but I have not caught it yet. I also lost one of the peppermint shrimps.

I have pulled one Mantis and one Stone crab. There was a bunch of gorilla crabs. They either went someplace for dinner or got frozen and tossed back in the tank for some food. So far things are stable. after 2 doses of chemiclean the cyno has gone. That rode in on rocks from my 24 gallon though. So far I am loving the rock.
