The time has come to get out.

Well I been keeping tanks for well over a decade and have really loved it. I am really wanting to pursue a career in music. It is coming along well, but in order to improve and continue on my music writing I think it is best I sale all my stuff in order to chase my dream. I plan on building a small studio in my house.

I am not quite sure how to start out doing this because it is going to be a huge job. I plan on parting out, so what do you recommend I move first? The rock?

I am going to be sad to see my angel collection go, but hopefully they go to someone close. It makes me feel good knowing I am chasing my dream, plus I do not have the time to dedicate to the tank, and my angels deserve better.

Wow, that sucks. I guess like all the other for sale threads you've seen on here, start with the livestock, rock and finally equipment.

Once you've become a bona fide rock star you can buy an ever bigger setup!!

True Dat!

I would think it would be impossible to get those fish out with the rock in there.

Keep in mind it doesnt suck for me, it is a happy change in my life.

I plan to stay active in the club when I can, too many great people not to.

Mike, sorry to see you leaving the hobby...

Best way to weigh rock is to find a tub/rubbermaid and weigh it empty, then weigh it with rock inside, then subtract the weight of the empty tub.

What angels do you have now? Your Regal should get snapped up quickly.

i hate to here this mike. but i see your point and when you are a big rock star you can pay someone to take care of your 5000 gallon tank. by the way what fish do you have in your tank now. do you still have a purple tang? i have always wanted one but think it may be a bad decision to add one with a yellow that is pretty big and dominate.

Purple is no longer with me, he bit the dust shortly after the power outage. So did the sailfin. I guess the effects of it were not immediate.

Well, I think I will start with the rock. It is mostly figi, some tonga, infact a couple really large pcs of tonga. There is a lot in the display that has great color, there is a bunch in the sump that does not have color, but it has lots of life. I would like to $2/lb. Great deal for starting a new tank. I have about 250-300lbs. A good portion of it has been with me for over 10 yrs.

Ok, Twiggy, now I see it, LOL. Yeah you have first dibs on the first 250. Kentrob you are second in line if you think you may find the pcs you are looking for.

None of the large angels are coral safe.

I guess I could post prices for the fish, some are spoken for. Before I forget, these fish will need quarantined. They all have been exposed to ich and are resistant to it. They are all very healthy but will need quarantined to protect your other fish. No different then buying them from the LFS.

Regal- spoken for
Bellus- spoken for
7-8" Emperor $150
5-6" Blueface-$125
4-5" Majestic-$90
2-3" Flame-$40
1-2" Flameback $45
Scopas tang, yellow tang, and occelaris clown, all free to a suitable home as they were given to me.
Large RBTA 10" when fully open with Maroon Clown- Buy RBTA for $75 and the maroon is free as it was given to me, however will not separate because the nem is hosting.
Lawnmower Blenny- $10

I will have some coral available soon, I have to sort out what will be donated, and what I paid for that I can sell?

None of the fish will be removed until enough rock is gone. I will not harm the fish trying to catch them in a tank with lots of rock. These fish mean a lot to me and I want them to be unharmed. I also reserve the right to refuse sale if I feel the home is not suitable. Large angels and tangs obviously need large fish tanks.

Personally, I think a 250 would look awesome in a music studio, PMed you... follow your dream, cause a lot of us wish we could....

I say we have a pizza night at a place that Exit 36 is playing one weekend night....
