The Time Is Finally Here...

NO doubt!!! Brown was a surpise pick up to me...

Not sure how I feel about the Basketball Vols having a 9 seed... :( I guess if they had taken care of business and won the SEC tourney things would have turned out a bit better... I didn't get to watch the Championship game though... Soooooooo, not sure what went awry...

It just didn't look like the B-Vols showed up against MS... like several important games this year. ;)

About football... yeah, Brown is a good pickup - perfect fit! Hopefully that makes up for Kiffin stepping on his own tongue every few weeks ... :)

Most think we at least deserved a 6 or 7 seed (anything to avoid the dreaded 8-9 matchup). Hard to see how we didn't with a 23 RPI and # 2 strength of schedule. LSU got shafted as well but their RPI and strength of schedule weren't nearly as good as ours. We'll see which team shows up in the tournament. I still don't see them getting past Pitt even with their A game:(

Not sure If yall know this but one of the 2 quarterbacks TN has offered for 2010, Blake Bell (the #1 QB according to Rivals) is from the same town Bryce brown is (Witchata, KS) and was at his announcement:) The other QB we have offered is the #1 player overall according to Scout, Jake Heaps.

What's everyone think about that Outside the Lines interview??? Apparently it was another recruiting violation since they recorded Kiffin talking to a recruit...

Part of the master plan??? Or not orchestrated at all??? :)
I've never bought into the "all press is good press" mantra, but it seems to be working for him so far. Recruiting and signing a convicted incestual sexual assaulter is pretty low though. I guess the sad reality is that coaches simply have to resort to shady recruiting and pursue 'suspect' yet talented players to gain a competitive edge. Florida's 24 arrests since '05 (a whole recruiting class!!!) only confirm this suspicion.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see this whole thing blow up at any moment for Kiffin, but I do hope the best for the team.

I think it was kinda blown out of proportion... Lots of teams have MANY secondary violations... I do hope that Kiffin tones it down a little bit, only because it is starting to be seen in a negative light...

I do think we'll get that DB in the interview though... :D

Not that part... I meant the latest violation and the rest for that matter...

Kiffin has shown himself to be a strict disciplinarian though... Hood's character is definitely suspect, but I'm sure if he gets out of line, he won't be with the team long...

FWIW we have the same # of secondary violations that we had at this time last year. We also have the ~ same # as Georgia does now. The press is just making a big deal out of them because it's Kiffin.

Hood's character is definitely suspect...

suspect? That's how you want to put it?

2009-10 Season

2009-10 Season

Giving a bump for 2009... I hate to root for NC State, but I don't want South Carolina to win either... lol

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!

I actually was able to get ESPN 360 and watch part of the game at school last night. I rooted for USC.....I allways root for the SEC if it's not Alabama (no offense to the good Alabama fans out there:) ......it's just buisiness:D ). That should be a great game Saturday night.
I'll be sleeping for the UT opener. First opener I've ever missed watching . Non the less I'm excited to get the recap and maybe seeing the end.
Go Vols!!!!!

Chris

I watched both of those games last night... USC's defense was decent, but NCState's offense was worse. The Boise St. - Oregon game was really sloppy... swiss cheese defenses and turnover city. Neither of those teams should be in the top 25.

I always pull for SEC teams in nonconference games.
