The "trunk" of my pulsing xenia got shorter. Does this mean it is starting to melt?

The "trunk" of my pulsing xenia got shorter. Does this mean it is starting to melt?

I am new to softies, and have a couple of frags of pulsing xenia. When I first got them last week, the main stem of the xenia (I like to think of it as the trunk because it reminds me of a tree trunk) was taller. Now, the trunk is about a third shorter than before. They are still pulsing and otherwise look the same.

I've read a lot of threads here about xenia "melting." Is this shrinkage the same as melting, or maybe the beginning stages of melting?

Thanks!

Could be your lighting is more intense then it was housed in and the need to "stretch" or reach for light is not as much

...and actually the sing that they are not OK, is when they stop pulsing. stop pulsing check your parameters.
