The twist lock flanges are finally done! (Pic)

uh- Yeah. Everything included this skimmer cost me about $160 to make. Granted, I have a lot of nice equipment at my disposal to use so it was a little easier for me than it would be for some people. In all fairness tho, I think a better comparison for this skimmer would be the Euroreef RC100 or 135, which is still 3X the price I paid to make this one. I called this a Deltec clone cuz it look more like the Deltec than the ER. I'm not sure how this would fare against a Deltec AP600 but considering the Deltec has a 500gph pump that pulls more air and is rated for 200G I'd say the Deltec would hand this thing it's rear :-P If I made this a bit taller and mounted a 2400 I think we'd see a better contest.

algae

everything else bad is 0

I cant test for phosphates because I loaned my test kit out

but I run rowa phos and is fairly new

-Deltec master I mean Chad, the skimmer gods want you to get a bigger Deltec . Seriously though have you tried increasing the flow through the skimmer and sump, is the water level right, have you cleaned the pump lately blah blah blah..............
Also I have skimmate like mad but still have algae, so i have increased the water level and flow through the skimmer to see if a lighter skimmate might solve the nutrient issue. If you don't feed your fish then you potentialy have nutrients in your rock?

-Kentrob let me be the first one to say this "I wanna buy stock in your company"Once the prototype is complete when does mass production start? I even have a name"Kentoreef"

i feed my fish a little spirulina

and i have 3x the amount through my skimmer feed with my overflow

i clean the pump every 2 weeks

i really am wondering about the nutrients in the rock

it funny i get a little skimmate all week and in 1 day i get more skimmate than i did all week and is just as nasty

i am in talks with Kentoreef to buy the company (at-least some of his corals)

That sucks really wanted one of those blue stags .

I hooked that second genx6000 needlewheel pump to my skimmer .I'm getting about 2 cups of brown skimmate out of it a day now .You should see this thing go .

Heh- Kentoreef...Sounds pretty gay doesn't it? I'm passing ownership of Kentoreef Inc. to chad....I'm too busy! Then again, we'll see how this Eheim thing turns out.....

Plain or needlewheel? WHen my CNC guy finishes the parts we can try putting then on yours and see what happens...

Nope- I've got one, maybe 2 sold....E.A.G.L.E.S wanted tone but I haven't heard from him in a while...I still haven't finished any of them tho. I've been so busy I haven't had too much time to dedicate to them I'm hoping to have one completely done this weekends and the other two to follow soon after.
