They maybe on to something!

i DUNNO MAN BUT THE FACT THAT WE CAN ATTACH THEM SOUNDS GOOD, ANYWYAS IT WILL PROBABLY WORK FOR ME ON A LIMITED BASIS PERHAPS TO ATTACH SOME MONTI CAPS TO OVERFLOW MAYBE

those look awsome but since i have alot of space on my rock work yet to fill i dont see a use for these yet.

Ive ordered a few of them............Im trying to get my back glass covered with xenia...right now Im using plex-glass hangers.....

Do we have any electrical experts out there? What happens if you put 2 magnetic fields intersecting each other? Could it be stray current? I know one of their magnetic systems would probably work really well, and I might even be talked into trying it. However, I don't know what would happen with 2 sets in close proximity to each other.

Any magnetic field will induce a weak electric field around it (and vice versa). Realistically, it's nothing to worry about here, as the field would be much weaker than the electrical field produced by the current running through a wire to a powerhead. The number of magnets wouldn't matter, either.

I took some pretty nasty physics and EE courses in college. :D

A magnetic field needs to be moved through a conductor to cause any current (otherwise we wouldn't have to turn generators!)

bckane: how'd you get the xenia on the plexiglass in the first place?

I had some xenia on a small rock.....then used a rubber band to attach the rock to the plex glass.....as soon as the xenia moves off the rock to the overflow then I was going to remove the hanger
