thickness of acrylic

I am looking into a 120"L x 30"W x 30"T tank for my basement. I know 3/4" is normally ok for 30" deep tanks, but with a 120" long tank do I need to make it 1" acrylic? It will have a 5"-6" eurobrace around the top.

garf.org has a tank size calculator, goto the diy tank building section and enter you dimensions and it will give you volume, glass and acrylic thickness, and the cutlist.

For a tank that large, I would think the top bracing (combing/eurobracing) would be larger, or you would go with a thicker material.

i have a 98 x 30 x 26 with 3/4" acrylic... did you want it euro braced? if not 3/4 will be fine if you did want it euro i would go thicker...

I have a 96-36-30 euro braced and it is all 3/4 no bowing as far as I can tell. Opening is 22-86

I used 1" on my 120x36x24h. It's not exactly eurobraced--I used a steel frame around the top edge instead. No deflection. Very nice. I recommend it.
