Thing on linkia

I got a linkia today. I noteced a whitish hard thing about a quarter inch long. felt like a shell. I could get my nail under it. Parisite?

May be parasitic snail. Thyca crystallina

Thats it, I pulled it off.

Did your Blue Linkia do okay after pulling off the Thyca crystallina?

I have read both that you should remove them vs. keep them on because it may do more harm.

I also have one Thyca crystallina shell i see on mine, and am considering removing it if it is safe to do.

Anyone else remove one on a linkia?

So for so good but most likely too soon to tell. When I pulled it off I could see damage to the lynkia. I figure time will tell. Right now he is active and moves around my tank. I saw him half way up the back wall last night.

It was on the glass this morning. I could see the "hole" where the snail was. It didn't look any worse and maybe a little better. He is still active so I am somewhat hopeful.
