no worries, I take full credit for tracking him down, it took a lot of energy to subliminally will him to post in this thread, but after all of that hard work it finally paid off :p
 
this was posted in the feedback thread, but i'll post it here as well so reefmeister can see it.

Here is my biggest gripe about R-A-P, the vendor, FISHSUPPLY.
Now its alright to make money, after all thats one of the main reason for the vendors to be there. But from a hobbyist standpoint, I feel it was basically fish slaughter. They basically had the wholesale boxes shipped at the site, and sold them directly to customers. Great prices on the fish I must say, and they themselves were surprised at how much livestock they sold. HOWEVER...most of the fish i could tell were going into the hands of inexperienced hobbyist. No advice, no regards to the health of the livestock. Now i know this happens a lot in this hobby, but if you talked to the vendor, some of them didn't even know the name of the fish, just the price to sell. I saw a Pacific blue hippo tang go to someone that has a 3 gallon pico.

I believe R-A-P has a better purpose, and it is to promote the long term well being of our hobby and our animals. Again I know this is an almost impossible task as there will always be people who will make uneducated purchases and vendors that will give their everything to push a sale, but it was just sad to see that happen at R-A-P.
 
LOL... fish supply make a killing... they were the only vendor that i know of that went back to their LFS to "restock" for RAP...

He was one of the nicest guys I've ever met! He was genuinely sorry that he couldn't find his ticket in time and never once hinted that the situation was unfair or mishandled in any way, shape or form; his behavior was nothing short of honorable! I am humbled by his level of maturity and grace, in light of such unfortunate circumstances.

Thanks for the compliments Kevin. I was still in shock that I could have actually won a grand prize with one ticket in the solaris jug, what are the odds?!! Well just to let you know the t-shirts went to good use so dont be surprised to see homeless San Diegans rocking XL RAP 2007 shirts if your ever around downtown San Diego, thank you for that! Also thanks to fraggle reef for pming me and offering a great consolation.

Those identical twins were my models hired to strut their stuff :) glad everyone enjoyed seeing them, they were a hit @ SW-CFM, I had many requests to bring them to RAP!!

Thanks to everyone that came by the FragCity booth, it was crazy! Loved every minute of it!!

I don't think they'd go for guys selling xenias for a living. Better upgrade yo' self to pimpin' watermelon echinos before you get excited there.
