Hi there.
I bought a new clam the other day and it's mantle was all crinkled up in one spot and i thought it had pinched mantle. But upon closer inspection i found a little "carpet anemone looking creature living on the shute directly under the mantle. We'll i pulled that one off but did find 2 more. As they are so small i can't get a good pic of it.So here goes an attempt of describing it.
About the size of a dime now. Has a pink foot. And multi coloured short tentacles. Looks just like a carpet oral disk but smaller. It definetly is not a manjo or aptasia. And it does extend out from the shute of the clam.
Now how can i get the 2 off without killing it if indeed it is a good nem?
Thanks
Lisa
