thinking about going back to t5's

I miss the shimmer also but how much better my corals are reacting to the T5s is worth the trade off. I might just add a couple of kessils later for shimmer but for now this fixture is great!

This is exactly why I prefer to have the combo, it really gives the best of both and seems more complete.
Right now I have 2 panorama pro strips which are ok and give some shimmer, enough to not be so flat, but I also plan to go w/ kessils added to the the T5's later instead of the panorama's to add more shimmer.

Gotcha.
Have you looked into LifeReef overflows?
They don't lose siphon and always restart without a hitch.
No aqua lifter pump needed.

I'm glad u mentioned that. I've always wondered how in gods earth that thing works? I've seen countless videos but how it keeps the water in the U tube after the water supply is cut off is freaking confusing.

This was a big problem for me for awhile my utubes aways getting full of air and me having to fish a air line up into them and suck out the air was a real PITA!

Amid nutrient issues, I decided to add a 400 watt Hamilton MH to my pair of Radions. I love how it looks!
