Thinking of a feather duster

Not this minute but in the future... we'd love to get a feather duster. However, everything that I have read seems to point to the fact that they prefer a gravel or stony type bed and many show that can be difficult to care for. All of this of course are off of your standard sales sites. We have live sand and lots of live rock. Looking for experiences, opinions and thoughts on keeping feather dusters and if a sand base will even support the hard tube that needs to be anchored especially since we have sand sifting gobies that would without a doubt disturb them.

I have two feather dusters in my tank with a sand bed. I just placed them each next to a rock where they attached and have been doing great for over a year.

I have one hawaiian and another one I'm honestly not too sure the name of. Was sold to me as a golden feather duster but it doesn't seem to match up to any pictures I can find...looks like a 'fountain head' feather duster though.

Just anchor them to a rock and keep steady water quality and you'll be just fine. I have a bunch on some live rock in my tank

Good to know... I feel better hearing it from here rather than reading what sales sites tell you :)

I'm getting a feather duster! YAY ME!
