hey every one. i am thinking about trying acropora corals. i have a green brown digi thats been growing wonderfully for me as well as a orenge red monti. both have great polyp extension and both are growing. i have 216w of t5s over my 55g. and all my paramiters are good. as far as what ive read. what would be the suggested acros to try??

Yeah that would be a good one, any acros that are predominately green/yellow won't be difficult to maintain color in. You will want to make sure you have your PO4 well in check no matter what type of acro you begin with.

From the sounds of it you must have something that is helping maintain it, or maybe your actively attacking PO4 buildup. If you're not using some type of bacterial dosing system or GFO then you should employ one method or the other, and even then you may be surprised at how well even your montiporas color up as well.

You're well on your way to addiction!

thx for the advice every one. is p04 phosphates?? also can you link what a green slimer looks like? more then anything i want to try a branching acro.

Yep, PO4 is phosphate. Green Slimer is just that, Acropora yongie, a branching staghorn acropora

This is an older picture of my Green Slimer, I've grown him from a tiny piece the size of half of my pinky finger.
