Thinking of trying Tiger Sponge

My LFS got couple of specimen in with really nice coloring ....greyish body with orange pattern.
I think they are more tunicate than an actual sponge.
I have tried to google some info on hardness and husbandry on them but unable to find any..
I am wondering can someone here share their experience with them...
Are they as difficult / impossible to keep like Goni, Non Photo Gorgonian, Carnation Coral etc?
They are truly an awesome looking animal...

If your system can handle haliclona blue sponges, you'll probably be alright. Have seen a lot of really nice specimens waste away, though, even in the shop tanks.

I have some haliclona sponge in my tank for a few years...as well as an orange color sponge for at least 5yrs

I ordered the 'tiger sponge' from mr.coral (it's not here yet) and I believe it is this species: Botrylloides leachii, a colonial tunicate.

My local reef club just auctioned off one of these at our last meeting. I didn't catch what it when for but man they sure are beautiful.

Your very lucky.

There are polycarpa sp. squirts listed a few places as 'tiger sponge.' There are also some axinellid-type sponges bearing the name, as well as a light-colored version of the commensal polyp-bearing Aussie 'spider sponge.' ... That's the joy of the common name game. Fortunately, all of these guys have pretty similar requirements.
