WOW! I did a quick search and one of the online fish stores said 2', but just wow.

This one was living on the barrier reef off Belize. It was about 26" long. They grow big in the wild. They are beautiful too. The color on this one was fade due to the trama of being caught. It put up a good fight. The Belizean guy who caught him thought he was a shark until we could see it.

There was one in the store where I got my tank in Ohio. If you so much as brushed a little close to its tank, it would come up to the surface to try and get you. One of the guys that worked there was really stupid and waved his hand over the water and that fish came up out of the water to try and get his hand. That's what made me think to mention them.
