This is a very "ICKY" situation

I put this guy in a week ago, today I notice what appears to be ick on him. Is this ick?

Looks like ick to you?

He's in my a 100g tank with lots of stuff in there. Taking him out would be a PITA :( but that may be my only option, I have a yellw tang and especially a purple tang that I don't want to lose. :mad2:

Looks like ich to me. If you put this fish in your reef tank then ALL the fish have been exposed and ALL need to be treated. You cannot get rid of ich by treating one fish when the parasite is now in your tank. Another good reason to quarantine all fish for 30+ days BEFORE they go into your display tank.

Sorry to see that, very sad. I just lost my powder brown (new, looking good at the LFS) due to ick and pretty much wiped out my tank :( only 3 survivors, clown fish and two damsels I'm not sure if they are going to make it but I don't see any signs on them. I lost 4 chromis, two firefish, kole tang, jawfish, sixline and the powder brown. You need to act now, ohh garlic didn't work for me :(

Danny!!!!!!!!!! AIYA~!

I know I know :( I'm leaving work now to go buy some medicine. I used a Mandrel medicine pills a few weeks ago and got rid of a very small outbreak of ich in my tank on the Angel. It was reef safe so I'm gonna do that again. Other wise I'm gonna take him out and put him in the my little tank full of copper then a fresh water dip to see if that'll help.

Would running my ozone help?

ozone should help I read in another thread, cooper is bad on tangs damages it's digestive system (antoher RC thread) its better if you do hypo salinity. Good luck.

Hypo is 1.009..and unfortunatly ALL your fish need to be removed and treated

I have a PB also...after I cured his ich he ended up with some other funk:rolleyes: This fish is beautiful, but its been one thing after another:mad:
