Hmmmm must have come on a frag only see one so might try the boiling water Injection do I stick the needle in the flesh and inject?

Yep thats what it is. You can also get it to shrink up and put a dot of super glue over it. Thats my go to move lol. Works every time. Lemon juice injection works as well so I hear but I've never tried it.

You can try squirting with a few ml's of hydrogen peroxide. It's fun to watch them melt

In my experience they don't multiply all that quickly.
Meaning I see a new one every month or two and kill it, and they are usually just in my sump.

It'll also close up if you pull the rock out of the water, so you may have a hard time locating it when you do that.

I was thinking pull the rock I can 99 percent guarantee I can locate the area and squirt some hydrogen peroxide on it to melt it away

One can also scrape them off surfaces. Scrape at the foot and it will detach and the whole thing will slime off whatever like the snot wad it is. Pretty fast and easy on smoother surfaces such as frag plugs or between zoanthid or palythoa polyps. I use a cheap old paring knife that I also cut chunks of WaterWeld with.

The tide seems to be turning for me in my current war on aiptasia. They are starting to disappear as though they are being consumed by ever increasing numbers of an invertebrate aiptasia predator. :D

That's a very personal question John. Not any more. I saw a doctor and got a shot, ok? :ape:

Yes, like a month or so ago I made the drive to San Ramon and picked up a bunch. I wanted to make sure I got a breeding population going despite the efficiency and huge appetite of my Melanurus wrasse. I believe I am finally seeing some aiptasia disappear, which is remarkable considering my aiptasia are like the sequoias of aiptasia - large, tall and robust.

All I can say is I feel your pain! Nuke that thing ASAP. I happened to pickup a little Aptasia X today. Yes I just saw a few. argh!

Surprisingly I haven't seen many locally. I did notice a few at Fishpros but when I was in the hobby back in the early 2000s they were on everything - like glitter in a craft store.
