We've got a local reefer here who got the piece from exotic and a piece of the shades of fall acro from atlantis. He put them side by side in his tank..both frags went yellow with red poylps... Mine is already starting to go from geen to yellow. Got any tips on how to keep it green...maybe I've got it under too much light?

DANG!!! :eek1: that is just crazy!! i'd love to have a piece of it but for over 400 bucks...heck now. well anything over 100 for a SUPER rare coral is just stupid IMO...after all they are corals after all

I found out that the shades of fall came as a frag of the original. Came from me via ROAB that gave a frag to Ming at Atlantis - so it is the same exact piece. Turns out ROAB was able to distribute it about 3 folks around the area.

To get the deeper green body throw a lot of blue at it like Robie Sayan did. Hugo has is under a lot of 20K although I think it is getting hit with a 10K if I remember torwards the side of it. The higher the kelving the lighter green the body is in general.
For me it was a very slow grower and goes to show how clever Hugo his - his colony is huge!!

Hugo - man the lapiz really is sensitive - all three frags I got from you RTN'd overnight. Too bad it was a really nice piece

Eric - I'm about 2 to 2.5 hours from WMC - might be a problem logistically to come for a visit. Maybe in June when you come to the Farmers Market (it's about 15 minutes from me)? I'm already planning on visiting Rich (sandollar) and Tim (tfp) since they are somewhat local to WMC. The rest on your list like me are kinda far and outta the way.

The corals on ebay are coming from Tubs himself. I sniped you on the GARF bonsai....last second is my style....I suggest a good max bid next time. J/K Picked up the tyree leather too.
As far as the slandering these are some of the best known people in the industry and if you do not like the coral or the price then do not by any means bid on it, but it then also none of your buisness what others will pay. You will not find better service anywhere.
490 is a lot do not get me wrong, but you did not get the bill for it either so why talk crap. Props to Tubs and SniperSPS for having a beatiful selection and a record frag sale...even if you did discount it which is awesome!

I guess I must be spoiled, living in California. Where do you have to live in order for $500 for a frag of Acro to seem like a good investment?
I also might add that from many people I have talked too....many have said that John tends to throw in freebies...how many people do you come acrossed that do that?....one guy even said opening his package was better than XMAS!..my corals will be here Wed so I will totally update you with how things look. If they are half as good as the pics I will be pleased.

I've seen Tim's tank a couple of times and am always impressed. Very unusual rockwork packed with great corals. I'd say about 50% of my corals have come from him.
