This is not really about seahorses, but

I am planning on getting a particular recordea from ccritters. Since it seems that most of the dwarf seahorses come from that company I would ask here about ccritters' shipping policy and other information.
1. My Mom has noticed that ccritters sell an macro algae that is a noxious weed and is banned in certain parts of the country. Even though because of where I live it would probably soon die outside of my tank, it may overrun my tank. (I live in the middle of Washington state so it would have to go through quite a bit of fresh water before reaching salt water, and then the body of salt water will probably be either Puget Sound or the northern Pacific which is probably too cold)
2. What day would it arrive: The site said that delivery will is Monday- Wednesday. In that case the company must ship differently then when the other companies I usually order from ship. So does anyone here know when I should order the recordea in order to be sure that it arrives on a Monday (of the three days that day is most convenient)
3. Do they use Fed-Ex or UPS? I ask because under normal conditions Fed-Ex usually delivers between 9-10, and UPS usually delivers between 11-12:30. I want to be prepared for the acclimation.
Thank you, and I hope you understand why I decided to put my thread in this sub-forum.

you do no thats theirs a form for threads like this right???? and idk i havent even heard of them

Must be a sign of age but I can't remember how Dana ships. I would call or email and ask. Everything from Dana is from the ocean not captive bred or fragged so make sure to take appropriate measures before introducing anything into your tank. In my opinion, the items sent have always been good quality.

My last order of Dwarf seahorses were shipped USPS. They did very well and he packages the animals accordingly. He's answered all my questions about his shipping methods and what would work best for me. He's is more than gracious to answer any questions you may have about shipping. He does use FEDEX if you want. As for the macroalgae, if it's properly disposed of it should not be an issue unless you live in a state where it is banned. I live VT so I don't really have to worry about it. I harvest weekly and I put in a baggie and freeze it.
