Several weeks ago I wrote beause I was concerned that my new crocea had attached but wasn't opening very much. After several weeks I was really getting worried. Suddenly it occurred to me that perhaps it COULDN'T open further because it was kind of in a crevice of a rock and the rock itself wasn't wide enough for my clam to fully open. DUH!!! I gently removed it from that rock and put it on another one. It's happy and open! Geez, talk about feeling like a newbie again...!
