It's one solid piece... kinda looks like a flap of skin and lays flat against the rock. Thought feather dusters came out like a cone and had multiple hairs coming out.

Mushroom - they spread like crazy BTW.

Yes they spread but they aren't the plague. Been in this hobby a long time. I never had a tank overrun or destroyed by mushrooms .
