Ever seen one in person? Reason I ask is we got 2 in a few years back... well let's say they looked much nicer in pictures.... I also remember them being wholesaled for quite a bit less than that too...

if memory serves me correctly the Tropical Pacific book by Allen, Steene, et al. has a picture that makes it look stunning. In the flesh it was kinda blah...

My LFS had one a few years ago. For that kind of money I would sooner have something else (like a conspic). They said it was a mellow and personable fish. The picture from TWAQ looks more colorfull than the fish I saw in person. The one I saw was about 10-12" and was about the same price.

Well, now that's concerning. All other visual sightings state that the fish ain't all that interesting....ah well....I'll wait around for a nice crosshatch pair...

I'd agree with jmicky41 on this one. Crosshatches... definately more stunning! Those true peppermint hogs on TWAQ are worth every penny though! Who cares if they eat a few shrimp!
