If anyone will b in th Maryland Heights area this weekend I could use some input on my set up. The silicone on my sump was done curing tonight so i emptied my temporary 20 g and swapped them around filled up the 55 gal sump and fired it up. The chamber that the returns drain into bubbles so badly that the bubble trap cant stop them all. Its really hard to explain and our new digital camera takes really poor indoor photographs. I dont know if i need to add another baffle or rework some of my plumbing....

Is it free-falling into the chamber or discharging below water level?

are your baffles over under over or under over under?

I think i need to add another baffle it is over under over, i should have gone under over under. I followed this, but mine is flipped. I pm'd the guy before i built it and he doesnt have any troubles.

so your water is only going down once, add another under and see if that helps

you need your water to discharge below the water level. also put in some chaeto. that'll help.

my sump only has one baffle......so yeah. :lol:
