Thoughts and question on the 7095 controller

First an observation, there should be a way to dim the LED's on the controller as they are just a little bright! :smokin:

The question is how do you stop the "pulse" feature? I have two 6055's attached to the 7095. I want them to alternate full power back and forth. I have the interval worked out but yet they still pulse. I can crank up the 1a - 2a controls to "hide" the pulse but then then run full speed in night mode.

Night mode picks the lowest setting so when on max speed thats it, I dont think you can have the option you are after, why is the pulse an issue?
I have seen the 7095 behind smoked glass this gives a cool subdued look to the LED's good excuse for a cabinet upgrade

Pulse is an issue since I would like to have 100% flow from each pump and alternate between the two, and still make use of the nighttime mode. I can't do that unless I want to deal with the annoying click at pump start up. Again the deficiencies in the 6055 limit the capabilities of the 7095 controller.

Tank is wall mounted so even though the LED's are really bright, drywall is drywall so I guess I will have to give up the smoked glass cool subdued look.

Set the top and bottom knobs on each channel to 100% and the pumps will run without pulsing, they pulse between the two knobs, if both are the same, pulse is stopped. You could use Interval 2 and rather than turn off the pumps would go to 30% and "idle" so the click would be eliminated.

I will clean my 6055's to see it this helps. Reading other posts, others seam to have the hum and chatter (clicking) at startup as well. So I am not sure it is a cleaning issue as opposed to a defect. If they continue to click at startup, is there a problem with my 6055's?
Turning up the low end to match the high end does "hide" the pulse feature but then I loose the night time quiet mode. There should be a way to turn off the pulse mode without giving up the night time mode.

The click is normal, they will click on start up. It shouldn't be very loud though.

Unfortunately, on the 7095 that is the only way to stop the pulsing. Why would you not want the pumps to pulse though? It increases the overall turbulence of the flow.

I don't want them to pulse since not only do they click at start up but they hum. So the constant changing of speed make the hum more noticeable. HUMMM.....hummm.....HUMMM.....hummmm......HUMMMMM. You get the idea. If I could stop the pulse then the hum would eventually just become background noise.

If the click is "normal" why do some people post that theirs do not click? (or hum for that matter)

It really depends how you have them set up, where the pump is placed, how it is angled, all make a difference, they tend to make less noise if angled down or across and if placed away from corners, the rubber feet are also important. Noise is also relative, what is loud to someone with really good hearing maybe inaudible to many with average hearing. Did you try taking it apart and wiping off the drive units? The way the pumps are mass produced barring a material defect they really should be virtually identical. They are hand assembled but a machine stamps out all the plastic parts and there is not much deviation.
