Thoughts if Im fully stocked

40 breeder, volume is 55 gallons

Stock:
A pair of clowns
Mandarin
Ruby head wrasse
Royal Gramma
Starry Blenny

Is this fully stocked? Or over stocked?

I would think you are done fish wise. even though the water quality may be able to handle the extra load because of increased volume from sump. Remember the fish need enough room to not feel cramped and have there own little corner

Believe it or not....none of them have their own space. They all use the whole tank. Kinda odd.

My clowns and wrasse swim together from time to time.

And my Royal Gramma doesnt stay in the same spot. He uses the whole tank.

You may be able to fit one more small fish in there. Just remember your clowns may not be as friendly when they start spawning.

They are paired and have been for over 6 months. Never tried to spawn.

I would say maybe something small like a fairy or flasher wrasse. Seeing how the blenny and mandarin arent really open water swimmers. And if you keep up on your water changes you will be ok

Yes I do. Tank was running 4 months with a fuge before I even added him. He has plenty of food. I dose pods every 2 weeks. Dont worry. Im a bit of a daragonette fanatic so Im not one to just try. My tank was designed to maintain one. But thank you for your concern. I dont beleive in spot feeding mandarins. It isnt worth the trouble involved.

That I had considered but an going to wait as my wrasse is an adult now and a little weary of adding a new wrasse as Im sure the one have have now may beat the new one up all to hell.

Newb question, how do you dose pods? I've seen these jars of pods online, but read that they are useless and most of the time are dead. I have chaeto in a mine fuge and would like to dose some pods if possible.

That's all depends on which pods you are buying. After I got my ORA mandarin I did a lot of reading. Basically the argument of the right type of pods for our reef tanks. Many have said that tigger pods are cold water pods. Which they are. Many of the LFS near me pretty much refused to believe this. Its obviously becoming a popular concern when buying a mandarin. Now AlgaGen came out with different types of pods, which after my research, found they carry the best type. Tisbe pods. They are alive and have an expiration date. They have worked extremely well in my tank. If you can find them local that could get expensive.

But I buy a bottle of those at least once a month, wait till my lights are out and dump them into my fuge. Best time and gives them a chance to safely produce a population for my tank
