Purchased a bonded pair of OSC clowns from LFS last Saturday. They ate mysis at the store and looked good. These are my first fish since getting into the hobby.
Matched temp and salinity and dropped them into QT. Roughly 15 min acclimation total.
QT Tank: 10 gallon uncycled, HOB with filter floss changing twice daily, heater, PVC. 0 ammonia. 1.025 SG, 78 degrees F.
The male has been doing great, eating mysis and NLS pellets, no real issues.
the female spent the first three days down the corner, rapid breathing, erratic swimming, fins clamped, no eating, and color seems faded at times.
I knew something was up. Reading through the forums I figured it wasnt Brook else they would be dead by now (day 7). Due to the other symptoms I figured it is flukes. I have completed my first treatment of prazi, waiting for some water to warm up so I can complete a water change and complete second dose.
The fish is more actively swimming in the water column. The fins have started to unclamp, but the breathing is still very rapid. Fish has not eaten in 7 days.
Any other suggestions as to what may be ailing this fish?
