A little frag of reef tek starburst fractured mistakenly from its mother that made itself a new home
Red planet and yes it's color is different from front to back. The front portion is directly under a metal halide and is being blasted with flow

$500 efflo, never really colored up to expectations. Still optimistic that those purple tips will come in more intense. I have never seen this in anyone else's tank, so perhaps this is not the real deal or I just need more patience. Growth pattern is ver cool though. It sits pretty close to the sand which may be all there is to color issue

That appears to be it. I might be wrong but everything about the growth pattern and colors say it is the $500 efflo. I had mine for a year before it started to color up correctly. It definitely gets really intense purple tips with the green polyps, but it still has a brownish center.
This isnt the best pic to highlight the purples, but you can see the similarities.

Blueberry fields, the funny reflection you see is an "aluminum foil bib" that I put around my lens because I was getting strong reflections from the light into the Avast porthole. So instead, I got a reflection of the aluminum foil in the picture.
