Well I have always had smaller tanks and posted on nano forum sites. But now that I hae set up my 40 breeder I figure I might put a tank thread on Reef Central. So I'll let the pictures speak for them selves I don't want to try and list everything I have.

I'm just setting up a 40 also ,what kind of pump are you using as a return from your sump, also how much, and what kind of sand did you use, it looks great.

There return pump is a mag 7 and it feeds into my Fuge and back into the return section and to the main tank I will post a picture of the return plumbing in just a sec.

Also the sand if IMO the best you can buy Carib Seaflor Special Grade. I have tried sugar sized sand and find that it is extremely hard to keep clean because you end up sucking out more sand that dirt when you clean. With the Seaflor its more like the size of freshwater gravel so you just take you gravel vac and you can get all the dirt out with out sucking the sand up and its still agronite so you get those stability as well.

Looks really good...can u post some pic of ur plumbing

Heres some picks of my sump

Used Gutter guard to do my fuge overflow much cheaper than the white tile stuff.

Heres the layout of my fuge and I have to say it works perfect for this tank. The Fuge had hermits, snails, and cheato that grows like weeds.

So I couldn't resist the urge I went out and traded some frags at my LFS and got a clown fish and a Large brain favia coral Need some bigger pieces in my tank. For some reason this will be my 3 or 4 clownfish try on this tank so we will see how it goes me and clownfish just aren't meant to be for some strange reason. Every other fish I have never had a problem with.

Nice setup! I have the same thing, but i do have to say im jealous of your stand / bucket box. haha. I would love one to hide my ATO

New picks today from the LFS Clown fish and a 7-8" favia brain
Also some War Corals and a Maxi Mini that I got a couple weeks ago.

Ok so I saw this morning that my new favia brain has some serious tenacles that come out at night so I am going to have to move it completely away from everything. I wish I had a place where I could put it high up in the tank but I don't at the moement.

cool! Nice upgrade :D lps are my favorite types of corals too. Totally diggin that larger favia!

Nice breeder. I have one too but wish my stand was as nice as yours! Is that a 6 bulb fixture?

Congrats on the upgrade!

Yes it is a 6 bulb fixture I originally had 4 bulbs in it
ATI blue + , ATI Aquablue special, ATI blue+, ATI purple +
Just last week I added 2 more bulbs to make it 6 bulbs. I actually like the color of the 6 bulbs much better than the 4 and I am staing to get some more sps now so extra bulbs cant hurt. Did turn my main light cycle down from 8 hours to 5 hours until I see how the corals react.
Now I have
ATI blue+ , ATI purple +, ATI blue +, ATI Aquablue special, UVL super attinic, ATI blue +

Has a nice blue hue like but still brite white.
