Tigahboy's 15S [LPS-only]

Thanks for that info, I am getting my first 3 acan frags tomorrow and I was thinking of getting that group of sexy shrimp I've always dreamed of once I move my cb seahorses...Guess I'll have to pass. What about pom pom or boxer crabs? Also, all my books are in storage right now, so I can't look up min. tank req on it, but how 'bout a sunset anthias? They actually prefer to be alone, one of the only ones like that, and they are BEAUTIFUL. Kevinpo owns the only LFS here in town, Aquatic Dreams, and his is eating out of his hands. I keep thinking it should be something you don't see everyday...

Just picked up a 70w DE HQI Ocean Light pendant + ballast.

Nice....I just recently looked into your Nc6 thread because I set my 6 gallon up and am using that as my base, because it was such a nice tank. I have a Purple Firefish, that might be good for that tank, but hey if you want to spend the money get the Helfrichi, I would have but did not want to risk it as it was my first Saltwater fish.. Also with the stock nc6 did you have any problems keeping Lps as far as the lighting? Sorry for the off topic question.

Never had a pompom or boxer crab before. In general I don't trust the crabs. opportunistic bunch. hehe.

Someone showed me this shrimp over on n-r.com. Very interesting looking:

Still debating whether to add more LR as well. Looks quasi-empty. But I kind of like the open look as well.

I wouldn't, looks great now and it does give the feeling of the mountains/valley very nicely, and partly that look is accomplished by the extra space above the rock.... if more rocks were added I think it would lose some of that effect

beautiful tank

AWESOME tank, don't do anything to it.

Some fish mixes I would consider are:

Purple Firefish/Yellow Watchman Goby

Pair Of Bangai Cardinals

Pair Of False Percula Clowns

I think 1 of those 3 groupings of fish would be cool...

looks like the "less is more" folks have it. I won't add more LR anytime soon. hehe.

n1ack, thanks for the suggestions. I'm starting to like the idea of adding firefish.

I have a pair of false perc clowns already tho. Maybe i could move em into the 15g. here's a pic of them:

nice shot of your clowns. I really like the look of your tank and the new lighting is perfect. I see a clam in your future.

Sorry, wrong common name. I meant sunburst or fathead anthias, but it turns out their min tank size is 30 gal, so I'd favor the pair of bangaiis. Were your blastos obtained from other hobbyists, or are any of those wild polyps?

Hey,

Nice Tigahboy. Thanks for the acan and micro the other day. Really like the light green acan, haven't seen too many of them around. What is the kelvin rating of the MH? How much for the whole system:)
I'd like to see this tank in person, maybe next time I order something, keep up the good work, Harry

Nice addition in the front too (Dendros). I've got a helfrich firefish, and he is awesome, but probably won't work in your open top 15. How about a Griessingei Goby? They stay pretty small and are fairly rare, know how you like them rare and expensive!

Are those dendros or blastos? How long have you had your helfrichi? Do you have any threads about him? I've always wanted one, of course if I had a nickel for everything I've made that statement, I'd have one by now!

Hey WendyMc,

I think they are dendros (in FTS pic), they look like mine, but lets wait for Tig's response.

I don't have a thread about my firefish, but someone just posted a thread about theirs...

I've only had mine for a week or two, but he is very hardy, eating both frozen and flake. Beautiful fish.

Hey Tig, Do you have any filtration specs, I don't think you mentioned using a protein skimmer or carbon or anything. Let us know,

Harry
