Tiger Goby- Dying- HELP!!

We recently just got a new tiger goby in our tank. We bought him Saturday 7/9. Today, Monday 7/11- he is dying. Heavily breathing, he does not move from the bottom of the tank. He will occasionally roll over and try to keep himself up right. We noticed a sort of reddish bruising on his body, it almost looks internal. Every other fish in our tank are healthy & thriving. Please help?? Any one have any ideas?

Well, there is a red slime issue right now in the tank. Purchased chemiclean for the red slime, just waiting on the air pump to follow through on treatment for the tank. Did a 15 gallon water change yesterday, 7/10. We do have some coral in the tank & fish. Every other fish & coral are healthy and doing just fine. Have been adding supplements every Sunday to tank for coral. Kind of new to everything. Salt level is normal in the tank. Could it be from red slime, red up on it and said it shouldn't really affect fish. Any ideas?

This. Some fish are more prone to be affected by elevated levels, and if he was already stressed from the collection to store to your home process, he could just be reacting to elevated levels in your tank. Either way, even for your other fish, if you have elevated levels, you will want to get them down.

Have no checked for ammonia, we do use this stuff called SEACHEM PRIME for the ammonia and nitrate levels. He already died, which is super sad because he was beautiful and doing a great job sifting our sand

Sorry to hear that! Reason i asked about the ammonia is that from what i looked up it could have been ammonia burns. It would be a good idea to get a test for it though as even though you are using the Seachem prime if you don't know the level where your at then adding that may be lowering it to a level that is still bad.
